Become a Citizen Scientist with EducationWorks! For our summer camp programming in 2021, we’ll explore what it means to be a Citizen Scientist with activities that allow students to embrace their natural curiosity and to observe events and collect data within their own communities. Through a partnership with SciStarter, we’ve developed hands-on, outdoor experiences that are designed to take place in school communities, local parks, and neighborhood green spaces.
Activities include:
- The Great Sunflower Project- Planting, pollenating, and nurturing plant life
- Philly Tree Mapping: Planting, studying, and mapping urban tree species
- Philadelphia’s Historical Markers Scavenger Hunts
- Yoga
